Week 3 @ GAB

Well what a difference a holiday makes....I came back nice and rested and ready to hit the ground running.

Had a great week too!!! Any feelings that my AT and I didn't get along as well as I thought we could were quickly dispelled as we pulled together and prepared for our co-teaching session.

The session itself went very well. As expected my students did not dissapoint and in fact made all the other TC's there jealous with their attentiveness and stellar work. A real pleasure to take part in.

went on a field trip to TUSC and Fort York this week. Man, are fields trip tiring. Taking kids onthe subway is like herding cats....you are constantly counting and cajoling!!! Then once you reach your destination you spend three hours watching someone else teach only to have to reenergize to herd them all over again.. Made for a long day but the trip itself was great and the students got a lot out of it!

More next week,

  1. As someone who had the oppourtunity to see the co-teaching session, I would agree that it went very well!

It's funny to read about (and hear about) how you clashed with your AT at first... because honestly, you could not tell by watching you guys teach. You worked really well together, shared the "talk" time equally, and built on each other's ideas.

Also. I was certainly jealous of your class. They may, in fact, be perfect.

hahaha sooo true! its amazing how as a student you feel that field trips are such a break. but as a teacher they are so much more work.
